Renovations and small additions to a derelict 300 year old listed residential building to create a house with 2 bedrooms, 1-1/2 baths, master bedroom suite, and self contained guest cottage for The Bermuda National Trust. A sympathetic approach to the original façades resulted in a small hidden addition at the rear of the cottage in the same architectural style. A similar approach was taken with the addition of an above grade water tank. Exposed wood framing and original door and windows were repaired or rebuilt rather than replaced. New electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning provides updated amenities for a comfortable home with traditional ambiance.
