Details of a major facelift for Bermuda’s oldest hotel have been unveiled by the new owners of the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
And the Green family has also announced that it will be pumping more funds into the revamp than first planned, increasing its renovation budget from $50 million to $70 million in order to transform the resort into “the premier hotel in Bermuda”.
The upgrade consists of three separate projects — a new pool area and landscaping, the refurbishment of 69 rooms and suites in the Poinciana and Bermudiana wings, and a state-of-the-art marina.
[Updated] The Green family, Bermudian owners of The Fairmont Hamilton Princess, announced details of major renovation plans designed to enhance the property, and have increased the budget for renovations from $50 million to $70 million.
The renovation project will be conducted in phases to minimise disruption to hotel guests, with the first phase scheduled to begin this winter after the destination’s peak season.
The upgrades are set to include an infinity pool, private cabanas, new hot tub, renovation of the 69 guestrooms/suites, new furniture, new Gazebo-style bar & grill, development of a new 66 berth marina, upgrades to the hotel’s mechanical & electrical infrastructure, and much more.
